"'Combless Cuts': Smart, pretty new shapes that put your hair on autopilot."

Suki Duggan, of New York's Donsuki Salon, knows how valuable time is to her clients. In fact, she's used to doing haircuts around cell phones, having the women switch ears as she moves from one side to the other. Duggan understands that women want fast, easy hair, but she also respects that they do not necessarily want to go to supershort. To please everyone, she has invented the no-shape shape. These cuts appear carefree, but they are meticulously planned to fall into place every day.

"Blow-Out Bliss:"

If the female owner of an uptown salon can't blow-dry her own hair, neither should you. "It's too hard. You're using two hands to coordinate the brush and the dryer," explains Suki, owner of Donsuki Salon in Manhattan. "You're looking into a mirror where everything is reversed." (She gets her long dark hair blown out every other day by anyone in the shop who has a spare hand).

Venus Diva Magazine.

"French Bohemian vs. Hollywood Blunt: Which Look Will Fall Fashion Embrace?"

The chicest look in Europe is the "‘French Bohemian," a style featuring natural, shoulder-length hair and deep bangs.

With Posh and Katie sashaying their short bobs around Hollywood, it seems New Yorker's are faced with a hairstyle dilemma for this fall and winter.

Which look will better suit this season's neat and polished fashions?

Let Suki Duggan, owner of renowned Upper East Side beauty establishment, Donsuki Townhouse Salon, explain the pros and cons of both trends, as well as ways to customize them for different hair types and face shapes. (continued).

"Suki Says: 'Make sure you consult with your hair designer to customize a look that works for you!'"

Take Note:

*Those with long, narrow faces should add side-swept bangs to add fullness to the face.

*Women with round faces should aim for a below-the-chin length and long layers to avoid adding additional width.

*Women with square shaped faces will find that long, soft layers will soften hard jaw lines and add femininity to their look.

Cover Story: "City-Pretty Makeovers": trend smart, stress free!

"With the mid-winter blahs in full force, our gals were rarin' for a makeover pick-me-up to welcome spring...and Donsuki Salon in New York City came to the rescue with five flattering looks, including stunning new makeup palettes."

Color & Style.

The Color Scene: "The inside scoop on what's happening in haircolor all across the country."

"Blondes will continue to make waves, but they'll be more reddish and strawberry blonde. Also, red-on-red will be big. Highlights used to be chunky, but no more; now, they're far more natural.

In our salon, blonde is the most popular color. We're doing a lot of highlights, honey-blondes, and sunshine blondes. Women don't want double-processed blonding –they're in a hurry, and want their hair colored in the shortest amount of time possible. Baliage is another big trend here always in demand. Lots of women go with light brown or blonde highlights, taking it two shades lighter than their own color to cover the gray and keep things looking natural."
